Makan-Makan Introduction Again - Part 12

Lorong Mecelister
Found the place by accident whereby my lunch mate and I plan to go Hai Ann Coffee Shop for Roti Baba (well known for western food, roti babi and spring roll). Turning to Lorong Macalister parking and the char koay kak that been introduced by Ah Sien was kept my attention on the spot. Mind been changed to this small store end upate 2 most favorite disks are the koay tiaw soup and chee cheong fun.

The Koay Tiaw Soup served with simple traditional taste served with duck meat and fish ball in a bowl by an old man who’s age looks around 70’s. Chee cheong fun, my long lost favorite previously located at Tanjung Business shop lots, opposite Island Plaza now sold here by the old couple and the son. The special is the prawn paste (heh koh) that make the whole chee cheong fun so yummy.

Hutton Lane
If you are Koay Tiaw Soup lover like me, this is another shop that you may try out . The ingredient only comes with lots of glass vegetable making the soup in vegetable sweet taste, fish ball and pork liver. You can only ordered without the liver if you don’t take inner parts. But for sure to those vegetable lover, special bowl ordered only for glass vegetable is available.

Jalan Tanjung Bunga - Sri Ananda Bahwan
Been to this place last year for breakfast. This time, we tried on dinner. The environment is an open air providing very windy and relax decoration. A must ordered items are Tandoori Chicken, Aloo Gopi, Prawn Ikalimirchi, and Mutton Claypot Nasi Biryani.

The tandoori chicken baking till just right texture in soft, juicy and crispy if compared to Kapitan Café downtown. The portion also smaller in size and for sure, it’s not a normal hard type tandoori chicken that we usually eat. Allo Gopi is vegetable curry that served with broccoli and beans. The curry are thick, full of curry flavor and thick in ingredients. Another must try dish is Prawn Ikalimirchi, it goes well with Naan bread but a bit spicy for me. Mutton Claypot Nasi Biryani? For the person like me that totally against the smell and taste of mutton yet finished the whole serving which I found it soft in texture and so juicy when bite.

Total bill for 3 persons portions are around RM48 from the dishes below. Expensive?
Tandoori Chicken and Aloo Gopi
Prawn Ikalimirchi
Mutton Claypot Nasi Biryani
Fried Sotong
Fish Kuruma
Manggo Lassi
Indian Specialties
PS : All tastes are depend from individual
